Recoil springs for the Hi-Power are available in conventional design for factory and extra power springs and in variable power design for reduced power springs. All are made with load-rated specifications to allow customizing of the recoil function to individual needs. Each load-rated recoil spring pak includes an extra power firing pin spring.

Ratings Note:
     Browning Hi-Power in 9mm has a 17 Lb. factory recoil spring.
     Browning Hi-Power in .40 S&W has a 20 Lb. factory recoil spring.

• Stock No. 13137 - Recoil Calibration Pak: Contains 1 each of the above conventional recoil springs in 17, 18.5, 20 and 22 pounds. Three extra power firing pin springs are also included. 
         
• Stock No. 13138 - Variable Calibration Pak: Contains 1 each of the above reduced power variable recoil springs in 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 pounds. Three extra power firing pin springs are also included.
  
  
• Stock No. 14050 - Performance Pak: Contains 1 each 12 Lb. reduced power variable recoil spring, 18.5 Lb. extra power recoil spring, extra power firing pin spring and 26 Lb. reduced power hammer spring.

•   Extra Power.........: 34 Lb.

• Stock No. 26510 - HAMMER SPRING PAK - reduced power, contains 1 each of 26, 28 and 30 pound reduced power hammer springs listed above allowing adjustment of the firearm to individual requirements. 
      
• Stock No. 11411 - HAMMER SPRING PAK - contains 1 each of 26, 28, 30, 32 and 34 pound hammer springs described above, allowing adjustment of the firearm to meet almost any situation.
  
  

Hi-Capacity Magazines - 9mm & .40 S&W
Springs are available for 13 round 9mm pistols in +5% and +10% extra power allowing a choice of springs for optimum magazine performance. Springs for the .40 S&W 10 round models are +15% extra power. The stronger spring is especially recommended when using extra power recoil springs described above.
Note: Springs may require fitting in magazines with magazine ejector.

• Stock No. 15070 - Reduced Power - 3 coil design
  Lightens and improves trigger in Pre-MKIII pistols which is desirable for competition.  Spring is essentially factory strength in  MKIII series pistols.  Warning: Not For Duty Use
  
  
• Stock No. 15071 - Standard Power - 2 coil design
  Spring is the same trigger return spring used in factory Pre-MKIII series pistols.  This spring is Extra Power for MKIII series pistols.  Provides positive trigger return which is especially desirable in tactical pistols.
  
  

Service Pak Type I - Contains the following springs to replace weakened or broken springs, returning the pistol to original factory condition: recoil spring, extra power firing pin spring, extractor spring, hammer spring, safety plunger spring and magazine catch spring.

Service Pak Type II - Contains all springs described in Type I pak above and a +5% extra power magazine spring.
