Recoil Springs - Conventional Recoil Springs are available with load-rated specifications to tailor the recoil function to individual needs. Each load-rated recoil spring pak includes an extra power firing pin spring. Note: The P-229 in .357 Sig has a 17 pound factory recoil spring.

For Use in:
   P-225 & P-228- 9mm
   P-229- 9mm, .40 S&W

• Reduced Power...: 13, 14, & 15 Lb.
• Factory Standard.: 16 Lb (17 Lb. for P-229 - .357 Sig)
• Extra Power.........: 17, 19, & 21 Lb.

• Reduced Power...: 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, & 22 Lb.
• Factory Standard.: 24 Lb.
• Extra Power.........: 26 & 28 Lb.

Plastic Hammer Spring Base- For Models P-220 thru P-229.

Recently Sig has started using a plastic hammer spring base/retainer with a short hammer spring.  This is being phased in across all models.  If your pistol has the plastic base/retainer for the hammer spring the following springs are for your pistol.

• Reduced Power...: 17, 18, & 19 Lb.
• Factory Standard.: 21 Lb
• Extra Power........: None Available

Hammer Spring Pak - Reduced Power - This pak contains 1 each of 17, 18 and 19 pound reduced power hammer springs above, allowing adjustment of the firearm to individual requirements.

Magazine springs are available in +5% extra power for the P-225
For Use in:
   P-225 - 8 round magazines

Magazine springs available in +5% and +10% extra power for the P-226, P-228 and P-229 allowing a choice of springs for optimum magazine performance. The stronger spring is especially recommended when using extra power recoil springs.

   P-226 - 15 round magazine
   P-228 - 13 round magazine
